The Classical Vegetarian Modality is based on fruits, vegetables, plenty of leafy greens, whole grain products, nuts, seeds, legumes, eggs and dairy.
The Raw and Living Foods Modality excludes harmful fats, chemical contaminants, processed foods, and animal proteins.
The Vegan Modality abstains from the consumption of any animal products in the diet, such as meat, eggs, dairy and honey.
The Ayurvedic Modality is based on a philosophical system predicated on the balance of nature and our relationships with the environment around us.
In the Macrobiotic Modality, one third to one half (30–60%) of foods (by weight) should be whole grains.
