The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts welcomes applicants for its merit-based and need-based scholarships for our Professional Chef Training Program. Most scholarship awards range from $1000 to $5000. A limited number of larger scholarships may be offered per the discretion of the Academy.

The deadline to apply for scholarships for all tracks occurs on a rolling basis. The deadlines for scholarship submissions in 2013 are: February 8th, March 15th, May 3rd, June 7th, August 2nd, September 6th, November 1st and December 6th. Diet and Healthcare Scholarship
Who's eligible: Nurses, therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists and others health care professionals
What's required:
• Complete application to the Natural Epicurean Professional Chef Training Program
• A statement of 300-900 words describing how you intend to bring the culinary training you receive into the health care field
• One to three professional or academic letters of reference

Career Changer Scholarship
Who's eligible: Applicants demonstrate an intention to employ the culinary training they receive through the Natural Epicurean in a meaningful way. This award is designed for individuals who have two or more years of professional experience working in non-culinary industries. Individuals who have demonstrated leadership and progressive responsibility in fields such as Technology, Marketing, Communications, Education, Policy, Planning, Law, and Business Administration are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates have a passion for vegetarian cooking, a commitment to a health-supportive lifestyle which includes diet as an important component, an intention to employ the culinary training they will receive in the health care field in some significant way, personal discipline, aptitude for culinary studies, and previous success in other rigorous endeavors.

Registered Yoga Teacher Scholarship
Who's eligible: Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level (RYT-200) recognized through Yoga Alliance, who demonstrate an intention to integrate the culinary training they receive with their work as a yoga instructor

• A statement of 300-900 words describing how you intend to integrate the culinary training they receive twith their yoga teaching
• Verification of your RYT-200 status

Who's eligible: People who demonstrate a commitment to macrobiotic diet and lifestyle.

Who's eligible: People who demonstrate an intention to employ the culinary training they receive through the Natural Epicurean in a significant way, supporting AOMA and The Natural Epicurean's shared commitment to education in health and wellness. This scholarship is specifically available for members of the AOMA community: including graduates, students, faculty, and staff members.

Who's eligible: Individuals who want to apply their Natural Epicurean training towards issues of food policy and advocacy, including but not limited to: justice, access and equity, food systems, community food programming and education, environmental and welfare.

• A statement of 300-900 words describing why you have an interest in advocacy and how you intend on applying your Natural Epicurean training to effect change in this area.

Who's eligible: Individuals who have both aspirations for small business development and proven track record of success in entrepreneurial activities. Individuals who demonstrate progress and initiative in starting a food related business (product, restaurant, food cart, personal chef)

• A statement of 300-900 words describing how you intend on leveraging your Natural Epicurean training towards the realization of an established business objective already in progress. Clearly explain the business concept and provide relevant materials to substantiate how a Natural Epicurean experience will help move you forward.
